Enamel is a surface here, not a material, and the difference is the whole point of the page.
All the studs list 316L surgical-grade stainless steel as their material. The enamel is the colour on top of that steel — a lime frame around a crystal on Whitney Lime Zest, pink and white stripes on Taffy, the panels of a Volleyball. What goes through the ear is still surgical steel. The range runs nine enamel colourways, six food studs, four sports balls, three hearts, three Texas A&M logos and seven novelty shapes. Volleyball sold 394 pairs last year, Baseball 391 and Soccer 360.
All of them are rated waterproof and made to ASTM F2923-20, on a 20G (0.8mm), 7mm screw back post.
Enamel is the colour; steel is the earring
All of them record 316L surgical-grade stainless steel as their material. Nothing here is made of enamel. The enamel is the coloured surface worked into the steel. That is what parents are buying: the colour a child wants, on a post that is still surgical steel. Twenty-seven of the thirty-two record enamel as their accent material; the other five — the three Texas A&M logos, Gator and Midnight Clover — carry the tag with no recorded value.

Questions
Are these earrings made of enamel?
No. The material on all of them is 316L surgical-grade stainless steel. Enamel is the colour on the front of it, which is why they go in water and suit sensitive ears.
Will the colour survive water?
All of them carry the same waterproof rating as the rest of the screw back range — shower, pool, ocean and sweat. There is no published scratch rating, so we will not claim one.
Are they safe for kids?
All of them are made to ASTM F2923-20, the US children's jewelry standard, and twenty-eight are sold as children's styles. The back screws on rather than pushing on.
How big are they?
Only thirteen of the thirty-two record a motif size, running 5mm (Black Cat) to 11mm (Pencil). The other nineteen do not list one.
