A pearl stud is the earring almost everyone already owns, which is why most of them are disappointing: a plated post that irritates, and a push-back that ends up somewhere in the bedsheets.
These are the other kind. Thirty-six pearl earrings, and the sixteen at the centre of the page are screw back studs on 316L surgical-grade stainless steel. The back threads onto the post instead of pushing on, and every one of them is rated waterproof — so the earring you put in does not have to come out for a shower, a pool or a night's sleep. Payton in white, pink and blue, 3mm to 13mm, $32.
Around them: pearl huggies at $36, oversized hoops at $40, and statement drops from $16.
This is the part of the collection that people buy repeatedly, and the specs are the reason. All of them are 316L surgical-grade stainless steel on a 20G (0.8mm), 7mm post, all of them are made to ASTM F2923-20 — the US children's jewelry standard — and all of them are rated waterproof for shower, pool, ocean and sweat.
Sizes run from a 3mm Payton to a 13mm Millie, so the same pearl works as a first earring, as a second piercing, and as the one you wear to work. Payton comes in white, pink and blue; Abigail, Alice, Lucia, Janie, Brinley and Clara Cross cover the rest of the range.
Five pearl huggies at $36 — Willa Heart, Jo, Kai Seashell, Aster Star and Scarlett — each a small gold hoop with a pearl or mother-of-pearl charm, all stainless steel, all waterproof, all hinged rather than clasped. Two oversized hoops at $40: Macy at 65mm and Tinsley at 40mm, both on surgical-grade stainless posts.
The occasion end of the page. Ariel at 70mm is the best-selling piece here. Kendra is a 70mm bow, Jodi and Libby are simple pearl drops on stainless posts, and Mason, Bridget, Sarah and Mary Jean are flower, shell and petal designs in gold-plated finishes. These are lighter on specification than the studs — several are gold-plated brass or alloy rather than steel — so they are dress-up earrings rather than sleep-in-them earrings.
The pearls in this collection are synthetic, and the two seashell charms are mother-of-pearl. Nothing here is a natural or cultured pearl, which is exactly why the earrings weigh what they weigh — an oversized 65mm hoop that is comfortable to wear all evening is not possible with the real thing.

Pearl is one finish among many in the hypoallergenic collection.
No — they are synthetic pearls, and the two seashell charm styles are mother-of-pearl. That is deliberate rather than a compromise: synthetic pearls are what make a 65mm hoop or a 70mm drop light enough to wear all evening, and they do not need the careful handling a cultured pearl does.
The sixteen screw back studs and the five huggies, yes — all are rated waterproof for shower, pool, ocean and sweat, and the steel does not react the way plated brass does. The statement and drop styles are gold-plated designs and should be treated as occasion jewelry rather than everyday-wet jewelry.
The screw back studs are 316L surgical-grade stainless steel and made to ASTM F2923-20, the US children's jewelry standard, which limits nickel release and lead and cadmium content. If your ears react to most earrings, start with those rather than with the plated statement styles.
3mm is the smallest and reads as barely-there — a good first earring or second piercing. 5mm is the most popular size in the shop. 8mm and above starts to read as a proper pearl stud rather than an accent. All of them are $32.
Three styles here — Talia at $8 and Monica in white and pink at $18 — use a traditional push-back or silicone back. Everything labelled screw back threads onto the post instead, which is why those are the ones recommended for children, for sleeping in, and for anyone who has lost an earring in a gym bag.
